Adrianne Marie P.

New haircut?

Welcome to ADRIMARIE.us! This is my humble home where I showcase my skills and passion for design and anything else appealing to he naked eye!

My name is Adrianne Marie P. and at the moment, I am a freelance digital designer and varied artist residing in the sunny and cool San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA. I spend most of my time dabbling with anything artistic, whether if it’s digital or traditional, in addition to the literary from reading novels to writing (unfinished?) fiction. My writing collection of (unfinished) literary works are still yet to be built at another site somewhere in this network.

Though the term is quite general for a designer involving computers and specific software, my specific fields are of the following:

  • Thiết kế đồ họa
  • Thiết kế Web
  • Kỹ thuật số Vẽ tranh, Photo-manipulation and (minimal) Illustration

Các varied artist part refers to other artistic skills that does not involve computers. When requested I am open to the following as well:

  • Content Management
  • Viết (journalism-style, technical writing, research essays, fiction writing)
  • Literary Editing/Copywriting
  • Simple and Occasional web marketing advising/consulting

I like the clean, the easy in the eyes, and the user-friendly when it comes to visual designs, most especially with building and maintaining websites. There is nothing better than a good balance of imagery, presentation and concrete content in a particular project from websites to promotional graphics. I spend my time finding inspiration when I can until I find that vision in my head and build it from the ground up and making the invisible visible to the eyes of the public. Visual designs shouldn’t just look fresh and appealing, but it should also have personality and attitude that defines the product on its own.

Everyday in this competitive field, I always find myself learning new things, whether if it was just techniques or simply different design styles. Though I did earn my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication and took several seminars and courses in design, I always see myself as a student of life, or rather a student for life, as I build things for others, I learn a lot of new things in the process.

I use a wide variety of tools and software to create my designs, depending on the type of the project itself. The tools and software that I possess are only used on a case-by-case basis.

My other hobbies and interests aside from the ones mentioned above are photography, playing video games, watching anime and reading manga (Japanese comics), watching news and sports, traveling, cooking, đọc, bằng văn bản, and when inspired, dabble and visit a lot via social networking. Food, art, literature, retro pop culture (most especially my parentsteenage decade (1960với)) and Asian pop culture (most especially Japan, the Philippines and sometimes on the borderline, Korea and Taiwan) are my daily trendy digs.

While I continue living as an unemployed freelance with only living through the means of unemployment insurance, I attend job hunting seminars and job fairs, as well as a contributing technology writer at Technorati1 and a book critic at Blogcritics.

You can stop by my personal blog/site if you’re interested in my non-designer self and current fandoms and interests non-design-related.

  1. You will notice that majority of the articles in my blog are my articles I wrote for Technorati. []
